We at Whispering Pines have the highest standards when it comes to maintaining your apartment. We pride ourselves on our responsive, courteous and professional maintenance staff.
Have a maintenance problem? Please contact the Resident Manager. Depending on the problem, every effort will be made to take care of it the same day.

- Furnace problem
- Electrical problem
- Vandalism
Useful Tips
Here are a few common problems you may be able to fix yourself. If you run into trouble, always give us a call, we are always happy to help.
- Toilet overflowing/clogged:
- Locate a plunger.
- Center rubber portion of plunger over toilet drain and push.
- May require 3 or 4 plunges to clear drain.
- Use towels to soak up overflow.
- Sink not draining or backing up:
- Locate a plunger.
- Center rubber portion of plunger over sink drain and push.
- May require 3 or 4 plunges to clear drain.
- Use towels to soak up overflow.
- No heat in apartment:
- Locate thermostat on wall(usually in living room or hall).
- Place switch in the heat position.
- Turn temperature dial to 70 degrees F or desired temperature (if no thermostat, temperature is set at 70 therefore proceed to step "d").
- Make sure your air vents are open.
- Wait at least 5 minutes to turn on.
- Make sure the switch in your furnace closet is on.
- Make sure all your breakers are switched on in your breaker box.
- Make sure the pilot light in furnace is lit.
- Air conditioner not cooling:
- Locate thermostat on wall(usually in living room or hall).
- Place switch in the cool position.
- Turn temperature dial to 75 degrees F or desired temperature (if no thermostat, temperature is set at 75 therefore proceed to step "d").
- Wait at least 5 minutes to turn on.
- Make sure your air vents are open.
- Make sure the switch in your furnace closet is on.
- Make sure all your breakers are switched on in your breaker box.
- If the stove isn't working check the breaker box and call resident manager if that isn't the problem.
